How Much Product Do I Need?
Every car is different, so knowing how much product to use is important. Using too much is wasteful, but using too little risks patchy coverage. Here’s what you should allow for:
Small car (Mini, Fiesta, Smart) → around 20ml from a 30ml bottle
Medium car (BMW 3 Series, Audi A4) → 25–30ml from a 30ml bottle
Large car (BMW 5 Series, Audi A8) → 35–40ml from a 50ml bottle
4x4/SUV (Range Rover, Q7) → 45–50ml from a 50ml bottle
Extra-large SUV (Defender, Escalade) → 60–70ml (50ml plus a top-up)
Van → 80–100ml from a 100ml bottle
Caravan or motorhome → 100ml will cover up to 16m² of paint, 250ml for up to 40m²
This makes it easy to choose the right bottle size for the job - 30ml is plenty for a small car, but larger vehicles need 50ml or 100ml to ensure full protection.
