TCW Pro is not a better ceramic coating. It is a different class of protection, and the difference starts with how much of it there is.

The physical difference

Conventional ceramics are worked into the paint and buffed off, leaving a sacrificial layer a micron or two thick. TCW Pro does the opposite. It is wiped on and left to cure, with no buffing step, building a thick ceramic film of five to ten microns over the factory clear coat. That is up to ten times the thickness of a traditional coating. It adds material to the paint rather than removing it, and the result is a barrier you can feel under your hand, not just measure.

Why it lasts

The performance comes from the chemistry. TCW Pro is built on a silicon-nitrogen backbone, a bond with a dissociation energy high enough that everyday exposure struggles to break it. UV light is the main reason a standard coating fades and degrades over time. The energy carried by UV is lower than the energy holding the Si-N backbone together, so the bonds TCW Pro relies on are not broken down the way a conventional ceramic's are.

In liquid form the coating has low viscosity and low surface tension. That lets it penetrate the microscopic pores present in even a freshly polished surface and bond covalently to it. It does not sit on top of the paint. It becomes part of it.

What it does

• Water beads and rolls off, carrying dirt and debris away with it
• A low-stick surface that resists dirt, oils, soot, acids, pollen and bird fouling
• Long-lasting gloss and the clarity of a freshly coated finish
• Heat stable, with a high melting point, so it will not soften or tack up in high temperatures the way some coatings do
• A flexible film that moves with the panel rather than cracking or flaking

Why nothing on the market matches it
